I just returned from Microsoft's Developer boot camp for Commerce Server 2007. Fortunately I was well prepared going into the event because Max Akbar covered a lot of ground very quickly. Clearly we will be focusing a lot of our attention around this product. It is the ideal platform for medium size and up ecommerce deployments with complex catalogs or catalogs with extended attribute requirements. Although the up-front licensing cost is higher than budget ecommerce platforms, the overall development costs will be lower with Microsoft Commerce Server 2007.
